Chef Jeff Nizlek has worked in food service for 38 years.  Most recently and for much of the last 20 years, Jeff and his wife Naomi owned and operated the Silver Grille in historic Silverton, Oregon.  In addition, Chef Nizlek has served as Executive Chef for the Mount Angel Towers, Moonstone Hotel at the Oregon Garden, and Wellspring Wellness Center.  Educated at the Culinary Institute of America and trained in restaurants across the country and in Europe, Chef Nizlek has worked at Restaurant Couvron and La Mirabelle in Portland, The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Chez Gerard in Pennsylvania, Old Drover's Inn and La Panatiere in New York state, L'Auberge de Noves in Provence, France and Restaurant zum Ausseren Stand in Bern, Switzerland.  

The Silver Grille served a continuously evolving, farm-to-table menu, based in French and Italian technique, producing 'Willamette Valley Cuisine', inspired by the season, utilizing produce, flowers and herbs grown both in our own greenhouses and gardens, and nearby farms.  The Silver Grille kitchen produced their own breads, desserts, ice creams, charcuterie, salumi, pastas, vinegars, pickles, ferments and a wide variety of other dishes highlighting the bounty of the Willamette Valley.

Drawing on these experiences and background, Jeff and Naomi Nizlek would like to offer our catering and private chef services for all your dining and entertainment events.
